For owners of the awesome 2003-2004 Cobra Mustang, we have several different upgrade options to increase the performance of your vehicle anywhere from 17 to 30 additional horsepower. All of these products can be installed by anyone in 15 minutes or less with standard hand tools. Do not be fooled by outrageous claims from others about filter upgrade kits.
Our $139 filter system is guaranteed to make as much horsepower as any other kit on the market. It comes with an Aluminum MAF adapter flange, and features a molded heat shield to protect the filter from engine compartment heat and to draw the cooler air in from the fenderwell. The REALISTIC gain for any high flow filter kit when installed on to your typical stock 2003-2004 Cobra Mustang is 17 HP. Slightly higher gains can be achieved on vehicles with overdrive pullies and tuning, but a 30 HP air filter swap is not realistic. Upgrading to our 95mm MAF unit will add an additional 6-7 HP over the filter kit (see dyno charts from independent testing below), and our new inlet tube will add some additional power on top of this. We will post dyno tests of the inlet tube as soon as we have charts available.
For those who have already purchased our 95mm MAF system or our filter kit, our inlet pipe is available separately as part #715. This upgrade is also compatible with most other cone filter kits provided by other companies. We do not recommend the use of this pipe with solid "cold air" tubes that re-locate the filter into the fender, as they tend to attach to the front of the MAF in a fixed location, and are not likely to properly line up with where our inlet pipe places the air meter body. If you are not interested in upgrading your MAF unit, you can purchase our filter kit (Part #X901) and our inlet pipe (Part #715) together to replace everything in the intake assembly except the mass airflow unit.
The 10699M1 kit replaces the MAF housing and air filter assembly while retaining the function of the shaker scoop. The complete system (10699PM1) includes the inlet pipe to replace everything in front of the throttle body, and the inlet pipe is available separately as part #713. Please note that the inlet pipe is not intended to be used with the stock air meter and filter assembly.
